The Centre for Internet & Society
The Centre for Internet & Society (‘CIS’) has been associated with the Indian Journal of Law and Technology for several years now and has been an important donor and knowledge partner throughout. With the help of CIS, the Journal has been able to organise a host of events including the Lecture Series, an Essay Competition and a series of guest lectures, both at the CIS office and at the National Law School of India University campus. LIRNEasia
LIRNEasia is a regional ICT policy and regulation think tank based in Sri Lanka and active across the Asia Pacific. LIRNEasia and IJLT are collaborating to organise a capacity building exercise in the form of a short course on ‘Broadband Policy and Regulatory Practices in India’. This is part of a project, funded by the Ford Foundation on ‘Facilitating and enriching policy discourse on improving broadband access by the poor in India’. Details of the event can be found here.
Software Freedom Law Center
The Software Freedom Law Center, India has collaborated with the Indian Journal of Law and Technology for the first time in 2012 for an essay competition on various themes covering internet governance, intellectual property, digital privacy and openness. A special ‘Best First Year Student Essay’ award has also been constituted for this edition of the essay competition.
